We just returned from SWINGFEST, our first real vacation in 5 years. We left on Tuesday the 29th. Once we hit the state line, we broke out the window paint and wrote "Swingfest Bound" etc.. all over the windows. The first leg as about 10 hours and we twittered the whole way down, everyone from the Swingercast group chiming in with their current whereabouts, mile markers, and flight status.
We spent the night in Orlando, arriving about 3am. Our Swingfest reservations were for nights Thurs - Sun. We didn't have reservations for Wednesday night at the resort, but a hot couple had posted on the Swingercast forums that they had an extra bed available on Wednesday night. We informed them we were interested in the bed, and they confirmed the invitation. We arrived at the hotel, and were then directed to the self-parking, $18 a day. In the lobby we ran into the male half of our roomies for the night, and he showed us the way to the room. Once inside we were greeted by his very beautiful and sexy wife. Typically we would have never agreed to room with anyone that we had never met, but something about the photo we saw of them gave off very good vibes. All 4 of us seemed to click right away and we knew from that point we had no worries.
During our get to know each other conversations, we were informed they were 'newbies', and they said they had lots of questions. Personally, I really enjoy meeting newbies, because of the conversations. I love talking about the thought processes involved, the different ways of viewing love, sex, and relationships, and of course hearing about how they came to decide to give the lifestyle a try.
We all decided to put on our swimsuits and hit the pool and pool bar where others of the Swingercast guild were congregating. Step up to the bar and ordered 2 Miller Lites, I was handed two plastic miller lite bottles and told "$15.73". My jaw dropped, she then explained that tip was already included. Wasn't that nice of them? We decided at that point that a Walmart run was needed.
Many of the first couple of days all seem a blur, so my time line might be a little off. Lets just say that we started the 54oz Bubba Keg rebellion!

I also enjoy meeting newbies. There's something about that enraptured, doe-eyed enthusiasm that makes me smile. Plus, I also love talking about sex and swinging.
I checked out your SLS profile. You guys are hot! Too bad about your no bi guys rule. The 2,000+ mile distance also kind of gets in the way.
At any rate, if you're interested, I write a swinging-related blog as well. I don't update it as often as I'd like to, but that also seems to be true of the other 3 blogs I write...
